Dubai- Dubai’s remarkable journey toward becoming a global economic powerhouse continues under the visionary guidance of its leadership, as highlighted by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence of the UAE. In a gathering at the Za’abeel Majlis with local dignitaries, ministers, and senior officials, Sheikh Hamdan lauded the achievements of the UAE under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

Sheikh Hamdan emphasized that the UAE’s consistent progress is rooted in its dynamic economic model, which leverages robust partnerships between the public and private sectors. These collaborations, he noted, play a pivotal role in driving comprehensive development and fostering confidence in the nation’s future.

Dubai’s ongoing initiatives, driven by the ambitious Dubai Economic Agenda D33, aim to position the emirate among the world’s top three urban economies. With targets to double the size of Dubai’s economy over the next decade and create 400,000 new jobs, D33 represents a roadmap for sustained growth. Sheikh Hamdan highlighted the instrumental role of the private sector in achieving these goals, supported by the leadership’s unwavering commitment to providing the necessary infrastructure, policies, and enablers.

The Crown Prince also pointed to the strong performance of key sectors, including trade, tourism, and technology, which continue to attract high levels of investor trust. Dubai’s tourism sector alone welcomed over 14 million international visitors in the first three quarters of 2024, underscoring its appeal as a global destination. Meanwhile, the city’s trade sector achieved a staggering AED 1.2 trillion in non-oil trade during the same period, reflecting its position as a hub for global commerce.

Sheikh Hamdan underscored the integrated nature of the UAE’s economic framework, which ensures that growth is inclusive and aligned with the broader vision of the nation. This approach, he noted, not only accelerates economic progress but also strengthens Dubai’s global stature as a thriving metropolis. He also emphasized the importance of a cohesive community and highlighted the vital role of the city’s youth in realizing the leadership’s aspirations. Initiatives aimed at empowering young talent, such as the establishment of innovation hubs and skills development programs, were cited as key drivers for sustainable growth.

Expressing confidence in Dubai’s future, Sheikh Hamdan noted that the city’s world-class infrastructure and investor-friendly environment continue to reinforce its reputation as a preferred destination for living and working. The attendees at the meeting echoed these sentiments, thanking the leadership for its tireless efforts in making Dubai a model city that combines innovation with inclusivity.

In closing, Sheikh Hamdan reaffirmed that the UAE’s progress is a testament to its leadership’s vision and the strength of its public-private partnerships. With clear goals and a unified approach, Dubai is set to achieve unprecedented milestones, paving the way for a prosperous future.
